The Newest MEALZEE Feature

Feb 22, 2023

We've added a new feature where you can add your own local recipes.

To date, only dietitians could add recipes to MEALZEE. This will not change for the community recipes that are generated as part of the meal plan. From today though, you can edit a meal plan by choosing your own local recipes that you have added under the 'My Recipes' tab.

Why might you use this? If you're using MEALZEE for personal use, or you are a health & fitness professional (other than a dietitian), this feature enables you to add your own recipes šŸ„—šŸ that you'd like to include in the meal plans you create.

All users may use this feature (dietitians included) to add items that would not typically be included as a community recipe yet are realistic options as part of a balanced meal plan. These might include a daily cappuccino ā˜•or an odd glass of wine šŸ· or beer šŸŗ. We don't include these in the community recipes to prevent them from appearing as a recommended meal. Despite this, we know these options might help a meal plan's sustainability if they're included as part of the plan.

We'd love to know what you think of this feature so please drop a comment to let us know your thoughts.
